Foam Agent Information ◢
The Fire Extinguishing Foam Agents Used
Certified to AS50622-2016 Australian Standard.
There are three types of Muster Foam Fire Suppression System agents available:
- Advanced agent
- C6 purity aqueous film forming foam
- Fluorine free foam
The solution forms a surface film, creating a vapor seal that denies oxygen, cools the fuel, and helps prevent re-ignition.
- Flows under gravity to follow and cover fuel spills.
- Unlike powder does not pose a respiratory hazard
- Highly effective in suppressing Class A and B fires
- Environmentally responsible
- Special Advanced Agent solution designed to operate in extreme cold temperatures, down to -40°C
- Professionally packed in non-spill containers and labelled very clearly as to the contents along with relevant mixing instruction.
How the Foam Agent Extinguishes a Fire ◢
How the Foam Agent works:
Once the foam system is activated, a large volume of foam is discharged and effectively covers the fuel surface, creating a blanket that obstructs the release of flammable vapors and hinders the fire’s access to oxygen.
Certified to AS5062-2016 Australian Standard.
The foam not only cools the fuel and surrounding structures but also curtails the risk of reignition.
Additionally, the Muster foam system can function independently or be employed alongside the Muster Impulse Powder System (IPS) and/or the Muster Solid Aerosols Generator System (SAG) as a dual agent/triple agent system.
