For Heavy Vehicle Fire Suppression Systems
and Machinery Fire Suppression Systems,
Amet Industries use Muster Fire Protection Products.
Amet Industries Fire Protection Services, offer a range of fully monitored, Automatic Fire Protection Systems for vehicles and machinery. Muster’s fire suppression systems, combines the latest in fire protection technologies with simple robust designs & quick to connect wiring systems.
Automatic Fire Suppression Systems that are used for heavy vehicles and machinery, are usually Foam based or Aerosol based, depending on the environment within which they are used.
Amet Industries is a Premier Supplier of Muster 360 Fire Protection Products
- With a Dry Chemical Powder & Wet Chemical liquid Agent Systems with electronically actuated detection and activation systems.
- Australian Standard AS5062-2016 Approved. AFFF Fire Suppression System with 24/7 system integrity monitoring, cloud-based software, system diagnostics capabilities, flexible heat detection capabilities.
- We supply Fire Suppression Technologies that are designed and produced to comply with ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System.
Heat Sensing Modes
Linear Heat Detection (LHD) | Wire-sensing using MusterWire |
Loss of Pressure (LOP) | Pneumatic System – Intrinsically Safe |
The Fire Sensing Systems are Fully Monitored at all times, allowing the operator to check:
- if the correct pressure is set.
- that all the sensors are active.
- that the system is ready to actuate at the time of fire detection.
Muster System Components
Cylinder Valve – Engineered from a single piece of billet stainless steel. The valves come with either pneumatic or electronic activation.
Remote Actuators – Allows the operator to manually activate the fire system. Manufactured in stainless steel, with either a push button or level design. Both designs support the pneumatic LOP versions or the electronic HDR.
Heat Sensing Wire – MusterWire, weather chemical and abrasion resistant bright coloured wire jacket. The core of the wire reacts at a certain temperature, activating the system.
Alarm Panel – usually situated beside an operator, enables the control, monitoring and activation of the fire protection system. The panel works with either LHD or LOP systems.
Diagnostic Module – Allows technicians to view real time information relating to the Alarm Panel parameters, system pressure, battery status, software updates and other information needed to maintain fire suppression systems.
The diagnostic data can be downloaded from the device onto a PC and viewed using the Muster Diagnostics Application.
Foam Based Fire Extinguishing Systems
A Muster Foam-based Fire Protection System is ideal for protecting mobile machinery from hydrocarbon fuel fires.
The Muster Fire Extinguishing ‘Agents’ used during the extinguishing of fires are Certified to AS5062-2016, Australian standard.
Components are Stainless-Steel, for long lasting and high temperature operation.
The stainless-steel components include the valve, cylinder and fittings, ensuring its performance & longevity in extreme temperatures and weather conditions.

Aerosol Based Fire Extinguishing Systems
Muster Solid Aerosol Generators are a self-generating Aerosol Fire Suppressing device that can be used in conjunction with our existing Muster monitoring & activation components. The fire extinguishing agent is specifically designed for enclosed areas. It also adds further strength to an already powerful system.
- Self-generating aerosol
- Environmentally friendly aerosol
- Instantaneous fire extinguishing action
- Does not require pressurised cylinders, discharge piping or manifolds.
- 7–10 year operational lifespan

Impulse Powder Systems (IPS) Fire Extinguishing
Muster Impulse Powder System (IPS) is a self-generating Fire Suppression device containing a dry chemical powder which when electrically or thermally activated produces gases which increase the pressure within the canister. The powder liquidises to rupture tube, spreading the fire suppressant within the enclosure it is situated, to extinguish the fire.
IPS systems can be used in conjunction with other fire suppression systems such as SAG and Foam Extinguishing Systems.

Transferable Unit for Fire-Fighting (TUFF)
The Muster Transferable Unit for Fire Fighting (TUFF) consists of a cylinder with a bracket, aerator nozzle, valve and retractable 15m hose reel.
The TUFF unit is specially designed to provide fire protection for a range of applications where the risk requires a greater quantity of agent than a portable foam fire extinguisher.
The TUFF unit has a pressure vessel containing foam agent with a retractable hose reel allowing access to the fire area without the need to move the cylinder.
A portable fire protection system that is manually used to extinguish fires, on or around a vehicle or piece of machinery.

Solid Aerosol Generator Systems (SAG)
A self-generating, environmentally responsible, and automatic fire protection system that provides immediate protection to confined spaces by harnessing aerosol particles.
Muster Solid Aerosol Generator (SAG) offers superior performance and innovation for demanding environments, is environmentally responsible, compact, easy to install, and has a long operational life. It can operate independently or as part of a multi-agent system.

For Heavy Vehicle fire suppression systems & Machinery Fire Suppression Systems, we use Muster.
When choosing Automatic Fire Protection Systems for equipment, ask three questions to the Installer.
1. Has a risk assessment and hazard analysis been done to evaluate all possible risks on the machine?
2. Look at the quote as some companies under quote a system just to get the job. (Typically, they increase the cost of replacement parts with useless nozzles, or a smaller cylinder to make their quote seem competitive)
3. Ask what standard has been used to do the installation and design. Some companies just install as they go and don’t consider all risks.
