Cat 150 Grader Mining Fire Protection

Amet Industries has installed Muster Fire Suppression Systems on multiple Cat150 Graders for a mine located near Brisbane. The grader machinery gets extremely hot during its operation, requiring large amounts of torque to move earth. The increased temperature and long operation of this machinery in a mining environment, makes them susceptible to fires.
The Fire Protection system installed uses a foam-based suppression system. There are varying sizes of the foam system available for the fire suppression. The Cat 150 now has a 66 Litre, foam concentrate available for extinguish fires, for its operation.
After Installation, a risk assessment was performed, and the Graders were all AS 5062:2016 compliant.
Supply of the fire suppression system was made by JSG Industrial and installed by Amet Industries in Brisbane.
